TCU basketball lands commitment from Jace Posey, son of NBA champion James Posey
TCU basketball is putting together a strong 2023 class.
The Horned Frogs secured a commitment from Jace Posey late Friday. Posey is the son of NBA player James Posey, who won two championships with the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.
Jace Posey is ranked a four-star shooting guard and is considered a Top 100 prospect. The 247Sports Composite Rankings have him slotted as the No. 81 player overall and the No. 6 player in the state of Texas out of Houston.
Posey took an official visit to TCU at the beginning of August and also seriously considered George Mason. He had offers from the likes of Memphis, Texas A&M and DePaul.
He joins Mansfield Legacy forward Isaiah Manning in the Horned Frogs’ two-man class. The news comes as TCU is currently hosting five-star big man Dennis Evans on an official visit.
Evans is also considering Minnesota and Kansas as his main contenders. Landing him would make this one of the best classes for Jamie Dixion as TCU will likely open the season ranked in the Top 20.
