Damion Baugh has changed his mind. He’ll return to TCU basketball for senior season.

TCU basketball is returning all five starters next season, after all.

Damion Baugh reversed course on Sunday, posting on his social media that he’ll return to school for his senior season. Baugh informed the coaching staff and his teammates of his intentions to remain in the NBA Draft a couple of weeks ago.

Now he’s returning. Baugh had until Wednesday to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft and retain college eligibility.

This is a positive development for TCU as Baugh was the second-leading scorer on last year’s team. He averaged 10.6 points in 31.5 minutes per game.

Baugh, who is listed at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, has plenty of room to grow, starting with improving his 3-point shooting (27% last year) and reducing turnovers (3.3 turnovers per game).

Baugh is the second player from TCU’s team this offseason who has flipped from being all-in for a professional career to returning to school. Star guard Mike Miles thought he’d be headed to the NBA before returning to school.

Along with Baugh and Miles, TCU returns other starters in Chuck O’Bannon, Jr., Emanuel Miller and Eddie Lampkin. Key role players such as Micah Peavy, Xavier Cork and JaKobe Coles also return.

TCU is coming off a historic season in 2021-22, ending a 35-year drought between NCAA Tournament victories. The Frogs also won a program-record five ranked games. Many have projected TCU as a Top 25 team going into next season.
