TCU men’s basketball has its early-season tournament set for next season.

The program announced that it would take part in the Emerald Coast Classic presented by Global Sports over Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 25-26) in Niceville, Florida. Games will be hosted at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College.

TCU won the tournament in 2017, defeating New Mexico and St. Bonaventure.

Other teams scheduled to compete include Cal, Clemson and Iowa. Game matchups will be announced this summer.

LSU defeated Wake Forest to win the tournament last season. The tournament started in 2014 with Ole Miss winning the inaugural event.

This tournament is the first official games set for the upcoming TCU basketball season. The Frogs have also reportedly reached an agreement with Northwestern State to play a nonconference game on a date to be announced.

TCU has fared well in its early-season tournaments under coach Jamie Dixon, going 11-2 in those games. The Frogs took part in the inaugural SoCal Challenge last season.

TCU returns all five starters with Mike Miles announcing his intentions to return for a junior season on Monday night. The Frogs are coming off a 21-13 season in which they ended a 35-year drought between NCAA Tournament victories. The program also set a record with five wins over AP Top 25 teams.
