TCU football is starting its spring practices Tuesday.

The program is opening up the practices to media and fans as first-year coach Sonny Dykes believes fans will appreciate the work his staff and players put in on a daily basis. That’s a significant difference from former coach Gary Patterson, who allowed media to attend one spring practice a year in recent years.

The Frogs are set to take the field at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday on the outdoor practice fields just south of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Practices are expected to run for 1 hour, 45 minutes with an end time of approximately 8:30 a.m.

Fans interested in attending the practices should park in Lot 2 and take the steps up to the practice field. No chairs are permitted. Fans are also not allowed to take photos or videos of the practice. Other restrictions include fans staying in marked areas as well as wearing no attire of opposing schools.
