TCU cornerback Kee’yon Stewart had a change of heart after sleeping on his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Stewart announced his plans to transfer on Friday, but reversed course on Saturday.

Stewart wrote on social media that he had “work to finish” with the Horned Frogs, and intended to play for them in 2022.

Stewart has as many as three seasons of eligibility left with the NCAA freezing status during the 2020 season amid the pandemic and Stewart qualifying for a redshirt season in 2021.

Stewart played in three games this season, registering five tackles with one interception. His interception came in TCU’s upset victory over then-No. 12 Baylor on Nov. 6.

Stewart joined TCU as a three-star recruit out of Houston North Shore.

The Frogs are hopeful to get another North Shore product to change his mind as running back Zach Evans remains in the portal. University officials remain hopeful that Evans returns for a third season in Fort Worth.
