TCU cornerback Noah Daniels isn’t ready to pursue an NFL career yet.

Daniels announced Tuesday that he’s returning to TCU for the 2022 season. He has an extra year of eligibility with the NCAA freezing status for the 2020 year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Daniels has been projected as a potential first-round talent but was limited to just five games last season. He had five tackles on the season. Daniels also had an injury-plagued 2020 season.

But TCU’s game notes state that Daniels has been clocked running a 4.27-second 40-yard dash. If he’s able to run a sub-4.30 second 40-yard dash for NFL scouts, he will boost his draft stock immensely.

He will hope to do that as well as put together more college tape in 2022.

Daniels joins offensive lineman Wes Harris as notable players who intend to return as “super seniors.”
