TCU football to add recruiting specialist to new staff under Sonny Dykes, source says
TCU incoming coach Sonny Dykes is expected to add another ace recruiter to his staff.
A source told the Star-Telegram on Sunday night that there is a “good chance” Bryan Carrington will join Dykes’ staff as a running backs analyst and recruiting coordinator.
Carrington served as an offensive quality control analyst at USC this season.
Carrington is considered one of the top recruiters in the country. Prior to his stint at USC, he spent four seasons at Texas under Tom Herman.
He was an assistant director of player personnel for the Longhorns in 2017 before spending his final three seasons (2018-20) as the director of recruiting.
Carrington started his coaching career as a football recruiting assistant at Houston in 2015 and 2016 under Herman. He is a Houston native, playing high school football at St. Pius X.
TCU has yet to name Dykes as the next coach but an official announcement is expected on Monday with a formal introductory news conference on Tuesday, sources said.
