T.J. Carter has moved to cornerback.

Carter, a Memphis transfer, has spent most of his time working at safety since joining TCU but has transitioned back to cornerback. Carter is expected to start opposite Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson against SMU today.

C.J. Ceasar II had been TCU’s starting cornerback the first two games. Noah Daniels remains out.

With Carter moving to cornerback, Nook Bradford is expected to start at weak safety. Another change to the safeties is Deshawn McCuin getting the start at free safety. McCuin played against Cal two weeks ago.

La’Kendrick Van Zandt remains the Frogs’ starting strong safety.

SMU brings one of the top passing attacks in the country. Mustangs quarterback Tanner Mordecai leads the country with 16 passing TDs.

In other news, TCU will be without defensive tackle Corey Bethley today. The hope is Bethley will be able to return for next week’s game against Texas. Running back Emari Demercado, meanwhile, is healthy and expected to be available.

Kickoff for the 100th meeting of the Iron Skillet is set for 11 a.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
