TCU basketball player enters NCAA’s transfer portal

The TCU men’s basketball team has seen their first player enter the NCAA transfer portal this offseason.

Walk-on guard Dylan Arnette has entered the portal, according to a source. TCU is not expecting any other players to enter the portal as of now, but as the source said of today’s college basketball landscape: “It can change quickly.”

It’s unclear what schools may have an interest in Arnette. He has spent the past two seasons with the Horned Frogs.

He redshirted as a freshman in 2018-19, and then appeared in four games last season. He didn’t contribute any stats during his limited minutes.

Arnette was named to the academic All-Big 12 first-team in February.

Arnette played high school basketball at Dallas Carter and was class valedictorian.

TCU went 16-16 last season, seeing its season come to a close in an opening-round loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 tournament last Wednesday.
