TCU’s Reagor, Blacklock sign with agents, officially ending their college careers
TCU underclassmen Jalen Reagor and Ross Blacklock are officially going pro.
Reagor and Blacklock both signed with agents, eliminating any possibility of them returning for their final year of college eligibility next season.
Reagor has signed with Jeff Nalley of Houston-based Select Sports Group. Blacklock has signed with California-based Athletes First, the same agency that represents a number of coaches such as former Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, former Baylor coach Matt Rhule and Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley.
Reagor is doing his pre-draft training at EXOS in Frisco, along with fellow TCU draft hopefuls in Jeff Gladney and Sewo Olonilua. Blacklock, meanwhile, is at Proactive Sports Performance in California.
Reagor and Blacklock both announced intentions to pursue an NFL career last month, but had an opportunity to reverse course later this month.
Underclassmen have until Jan. 17 to declare for the draft, and then have a 72-hour reconsideration window to make a final decision Jan. 20. On Jan. 21, the underclassmen list is official and sent to NFL teams.
But, once underclassmen sign with an agent, they are not able to return to college.
Reagor is projected as a first-round talent in what is viewed as a loaded wide receiver class in the 2020 draft. He had a disappointing season in 2019, but is a home-run threat everytime the ball is in his hands.
He had a 1,000-yard receiving season in 2018 when TCU used four different quarterbacks. This year, as TCU struggled in the passing game behind freshman Max Duggan, Reagor led the team with 611 yards receiving and five touchdowns on 43 receptions this season.
He did his most damage in the return game with two punt returns for TDs, including a 70-yarder against West Virginia. He led the Big 12 and was second in the country in punt return average (20.8 yards).
Blacklock finished his junior season with 40 tackles, including nine for loss and a team-leading 3 1/2 sacks. He also had three QB hurries.
The NFL Draft is set for April 23-25 in Las Vegas.
