TCU football lands four players on the AP All-Big 12 first team

TCU football continues to pile up the individual accolades this offseason.

The AP All-Big 12 team had four players from the Horned Frogs named first team, and three more were on the second team.

Voting is done by a panel of 20 sports writers and sportscasters who regularly cover the league, including the Star-Telegram’s Drew Davison.

Here are the TCU players who were honored:

First team

Cornerback Jeff Gladney: Gladney had a team-leading 14 pass breakups, along with 31 tackles and one interception.

Free safety Trevon Moehrig: Moehrig ranked second on the team with four interceptions and 62 tackles.

Linebacker Garret Wallow: Wallow led the Big 12 with 125 tackles, including 18 for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Kicker Jonathan Song: Song made 23 of 24 field goals, including a perfect 20 of 20 on attempts inside 40 yards. He was also perfect on point-after attempts (39 of 39).

Second team

Defensive tackle Ross Blacklock: Blacklock led the D-line with 3.5 sacks and finished fifth on the team with 40 tackles, including nine for loss.

All-purpose Jalen Reagor: Reagor was the team’s leading receiver (611 yards, five TDs) and the league’s best punt returner with a 20.8 yards per return.

Tight end Pro Wells: Wells finished tied for the team lead with five touchdown receptions.
