This TCU baseball pitcher was just honored by the Big 12 for his performance last week

TCU left-hander Nick Lodolo has become the staff ace this season.

Lodolo has been terrific in his junior season, and earned recognition for it Monday.

The Big 12 named Lodolo the conference’s pitcher of the week after he allowed two unearned runs over seven innings in the Frogs’ 7-4 victory over Oklahoma State on Friday.

Lodolo has posted six consecutive quality starts.

This marks the first Big 12 honor of his career. He joins Porter Brown (Feb. 18) and Austin Henry (March 18) as TCU honorees this season.

Both Brown and Henry were named Big 12 newcomers of the week.

TCU hosts UT-Arlington on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Field.

The Frogs defeated the Mavericks 5-3 last month in a game at Globe Life Park.
