Fort Worth Regional: TCU beats Sacred Heart 10-0

Cody Jones hit a leadoff homer, Mitchell Traver threw seven shutout innings and TCU rolled to a 10-0 win Friday night over Sacred Heart in the opening round of the NCAA Fort Worth Regional at Lupton Stadium.

TCU (44-11) will play North Carolina State (35-21) Saturday at 7 p.m. The Wolfpack beat Stony Brook 3-0 Friday afternoon.

In the nightcap, Nolan Brown went 2 for 3 with RBI single for TCU in the third, when the Frogs scored three runs. Connor Wanhanen, Evan Skoug, Derek Odell, Keaton Jones and Garrett Crain also drove in runs during the game. Odell scored one in the third and two in the eighth.

Traver (9-4) struck out seven batters as he threw 92 pitches and gave up four hits. Brian Trieglaff pitched the last two innings for TCU.
