TCU remains without several starters going into today’s game against Oklahoma.

The secondary is of concern without two starting safeties. Strong safety Innis Gaines was likely lost for the season in the Texas Tech game, Gary Patterson said earlier this week, and the team remains without free safety Niko Small. Small hasn’t played since leaving the first half of the Texas game with an undisclosed injury.

Along with Gaines and Small, the Frogs are still without left guard Cordel Iwuagwu. Iwuagwu started every game last season and the first four this season before exiting with an injury in the Texas game.

Chris Gaynor remains the starter in Iwuagwu’s place. Anthony McKinney was working with the first-team at left tackle in pregame warmups, although Austin Myers is dressed. The other O-line starters include right tackle Lucas Niang, right guard Wes Harris and center Kellton Hollins.

Defensively, it’s worth noting that Jawuan Johnson worked with the first-team at linebacker and the team’s leading tackler, Garret Wallow, was with the second team.
