Did TCU coach Gary Patterson figure out which player cut in line at Chick-fil-A?

TCU coach Gary Patterson created a social media stir last week. He asked for a student to identify which player attempted to use his “football status” to cut in line at the Chick-fil-A on campus.

“It’s one of those things where I don’t want my guys to act entitled,” Patterson said. “But then I’ll be honest with you – I was a little bit upset with her. She kind of said, ‘Hey, this is all about me and let’s keep feeding this.’ You know, that’s not what it is.

“I’m trying to make my guys do right. This is not about all the rest of it. Never found out who it is, don’t care. But we’re not supposed to act entitled. That’s not one of the things we do here at TCU, or least we shouldn’t.”

In hindsight, Patterson said, he would’ve simply sent a direct message to the student instead of responding publicly. He didn’t feel it’d morph into what it did and, as stated, wasn’t happy with how the student reacted.

Either way, it’s over with now.

“I don’t know how they did [cut in line] because it was parents weekend and I heard the line was out of the door,” Patterson said, smiling. “I don’t know how you could’ve cut in line anyway. You had to probably cut two lines. Everybody was eating Chick-fil-A. I was not. I just want you to know that. I was not doing that.”
