They said it
“He’s a running back playing quarterback. He beats you with his feet. He’s won a lot of ballgames because of taking off, running draws, powers, quarterback stretches, all of those kind of things. We didn’t play him a year ago, so you’ve got to be ready. He’s the X-factor in their offense.” – TCU coach Gary Patterson on Texas QB Sam Ehlinger
“I think he reminds all of us of probably a younger Kenny Hill. He can make a ton of plays with his feet, but he’s got a smooth delivery throwing the football. He’s got a very good understanding it seems like of the offense and certainly where to attack defenses. Very, very impressed with him considering his youth, but he comes from a great program. I remember when he was coming out of high school, so it’s not surprising.” – Texas coach Tom Herman on TCU QB Shawn Robinson
Prediction
This hasn’t been much of a game the past four years with TCU rolling to easy victories. But Texas is riding high after beating USC, and is desperate to show it can win consistently.
In the end, though, TCU prevails.
TCU 26, Texas 20.
