ESPN’s College GameDay is returning to TCU. Why that’s really good news for the Frogs
ESPN’s College Gameday is coming to town.
The network announced that TCU-Ohio State is its game of the week, and it’ll set up shop on TCU’s campus for Saturday’s show. The game takes place that night, as the No. 16 Frogs and No. 4 Buckeyes meet at 7 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
This wasn’t much of a surprise considering the only other contender was LSU-Auburn. The network announced the decision during Saturday’s Clemson-Texas A&M contest.
The show will be broadcast starting at 8 a.m.
This will mark TCU’s seventh appearance on GameDay and the third time hosting. The Frogs hosted the live show before the West Virginia game last season, and in 2009 when Utah came to town.
The Frogs are a perfect 6-0 when being part of the GameDay festivities. But they’re expected to be double-digit underdogs going into the Ohio State game.
