TCU-Kansas baseball series finale canceled
Due to severe weather in the area and poor field conditions, TCU’s baseball series finale against Kansas on Sunday was canceled.
No. 4-ranked TCU won the first two games of the series — 4-2 and 2-1 in 10 innings — to stretch its Big 12 winning streak to eight games. The Horned Frogs are 39-9 overall and 15-5 in the Big 12.
Sunday had been planned as an appreciation day for TCU’s eight seniors, but that will take place before Tuesday’s 6:30 p.m. home game against Abilene Christian.
TCU closes out the regular season with three games at Oklahoma (32-22, 13-8) beginning Thursday. The Big 12 tournament in Tulsa, Okla., is scheduled to begin May 20.
