TCU game at Dallas Baptist moved to Wednesday because of rain
TCU’s game at Dallas Baptist on Tuesday night was postponed because of rain and rescheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The No. 5 Horned Frogs (34-8) are on an eight-game winning streak, including a Big 12 series sweep of Texas on the weekend. Mitchell Traver is the scheduled starter for the Horned Frogs.
It is a matchup of ranked teams. Dallas Baptist (32-9) is No. 17 and holds the second-best RPI rating in the country. The Horned Frogs are No. 7 in RPI, which measures a team’s record and strength of schedule.
The Horned Frogs and Patriots played on April 7 in Fort Worth, with TCU winning 6-2.
Big 12 play resumes on the weekend for TCU with a three-game series at West Virginia. The Horned Frogs are tied for first in the league in winning percentage, .667, with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State won a series at TCU in March. The Horned Frogs close the regular season with a series at Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State and Oklahoma begin a three-game series Friday at Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
