TCU signs all-state lineman from high-flying Wimberley offense
Wimberley offensive tackle Ian Burnette, who protected a 4,000-yard passer in high school, signed a letter of intent with TCU on Wednesday.
The 6-3, 305-pound player is projected at guard in college and rated the 37th-best prospect at that position by 247Sports.com.

Burnette also held offers from Arizona, Boise State, Houston, Missouri, Ole Miss and SMU, among others, according to 247Sports.
Burnette earned first-team Associated Press all-state honors, and quarterback JoJo Weeks was an honorable mention after throwing 48 touchdown passes in the Texans’ state semifinalist season.
