TCU signs son of late NFL RB John Stephens Sr.
TCU is bringing an NFL pedigree to its 2018 signing class with the addition of John Stephens Jr., the son of a former New England Patriots running back and stepbrother of reigning U.S. Open tennis champion Sloane Stephens.

Stephens Jr. is a three-star receiver from Logansport, La., who could be one of the tallest offensive skill position players on the team next season. He is 6-foot-4, 195 pounds and rated the 29th-best player in Louisiana by 247Sports.com.
His father, John Stephens Sr., was the 1988 NFL rookie of the year after a 1,000-yard rushing season for the Patriots. He died in 2009 in a one-vehicle accident outside Shreveport when his son was 8.
Stephens Jr. also held offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
