CBS announcer Brad Nessler pays tribute to Verne Lundquist
The voice of college football on CBS changed Saturday afternoon.
Brad Nessler, who took over the lead duties for long time broadcaster Verne Lundquist, opened the TCU-Arkansas telecast with a tribute to Lundquist, who did college games on CBS the past 17 seasons.

“Hopefully, he and Nancy are home right now having a late lunch with their feet up on the couch in Steamboat Springs [Colo.],” Nessler said. “I’m going to try to do it with as much class as Verne did for 17 seasons.”
