TCU’s Williams to miss opener with leg injury, out ‘indefinitely’
TCU guard Kenrich Williams, a junior who missed last season with a knee injury, will not play in tonight’s opener against St. Thomas because of a lower leg injury. TCU says Williams is “out indefinitely” because of the injury.
Williams, who last played in the 20105 Big 12 postseason basketball tournament in Kansas City, was named to the preseason men’s All-Texas College team by Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball magazine. The 6-foot-7 Waco native averaged 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Horned Frogs in the 2014-15 season.
TCU opens its season tonight against the University of St. Thomas in Schollmaier Arena.
