Early on TCU’s first drive, which went 17 plays and 99 yards for the Derrick Green 2-yard touchdown that has the Horned Frogs up 7-0 on Texas Tech for the moment, junior running back Kyle Hicks limped off the field and into the purple triage tent.

With 54 seconds left in the first quarter, Hicks emerged from the TCU tunnel was only slightly limping on the sideline. He is on the sideline without his helmet.

He came into the game with 479 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.

If the Frogs’ first possession is any indication, Green and freshman Sewo Olonilua look more than capable in the backfield against the Tech defense. Olonilua had 23 rushing yards on three carries on the opening drive.
