TCU WR Williams returns to game, Frogs trail at half
TCU receiver Taj Williams returned to the contest in the second quarter after missing some time following an awkward-looking tackle at the end of a 27-yard completion in the opening period of Saturday’s game against No. 12 West Virginia. Following the play, Williams headed to the sidelines with help from trainers and favoring one leg.
After taking treatment, he returned to the contest in the second quarter and had one reception for eight yards. He leads TCU in receiving yards at the half (35). The Horned Frogs trail the Mountaineers, 21-10.
West Virginia has outgained TCU in total yards, 215 to 207. But the Horned Frogs have run more plays, 38-31. TCU has lost a fumble and thrown an interception. West Virginia has yet to commit a turnover.
The Mountaineers (5-0, 2-0 in Big 12) will get the ball first to start the third quarter against the Frogs (4-2, 2-1).
