UT Arlington volleyball sweeps; TCU splits

UT Arlington ran through its competition on the final day of The Big Daddy’s Invitational in Lake Charles, La., as it swept Jackson State 3-0 and Louisiana Tech 3-0.

The Mavericks recorded their first sweep of an away tournament since 2007 when they claimed three victories at the Marquette Kick-off Tournament.

“It’s a good confidence-builder to be able to come down here and win four matches,” UTA coach Diane Seymour said. “There are areas that we could have played better in, but our girls did a great job of weathering the storm.”

UTA is 7-1 for the season.
