TCU fans, mark your calendars now: Bill Belichick’s first game at UNC is against Horned Frogs

Bill Belichick is back to coaching football.

On Wednesday, he came to an agreement to coach the University of North Carolina. Yep, gave up a shot at coaching in the NFL again for coaching the Tar Heels.

His first game?

On Aug. 30 in Chapel Hill against the TCU Horned Frogs.

Yes, Sonny Dykes’ team gets the first crack at facing Belichick. Game time has nt been released. Don’t be surprised that it is moved to primetime for a national audience. And don’t be surprised if the game is moved to Thursday, Aug. 28, or Friday, Aug. 29, to get a big national viewership.

The Horned Frogs are familiar to opening their seasons on the national stage. In 2023, the Horned Frogs were the first opponent for Deion Sanders when Coach Prime took over at Colorado.

Get ready for a media circus, college football fans.
