Stony Brook collected 17 hits, including a two-run homer from Casey Baker, to avoid elimination Saturday in an 11-6 win over Sacred Heart in the NCAA Fort Worth Regional at TCU’s Lupton Stadium.
The Seawolves, who lost 3-0 to North Carolina State on Friday, will face the loser of NC State and TCU at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Stony Brook (35-15-1) scored five runs in the first inning, as four of its first five batters roped base hits. Rob Chavarria and Baker drove in the first runs, while designated hitter Malcolm Nachmanoff hit a two-run double.
Baker’s homer came in the second inning, and it scored Jack Parenty, who went 3 for 5 with two runs.

Tyler Honahan started for Stony Brook, going four innings and giving up three earned runs on 11 hits. But while the Seawolves converted with runners on, Sacred Heart (23-32-1) left 15 on base.
