Dallas Baptist comes alive against UT Arlington bullpen
The UT Arlington baseball team gave up six runs in the last four innings in a 9-3 loss to Dallas Baptist on Wednesday night at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington.
Mavericks starter Justin Schnedler settled down after allowing a run in the first inning and gave up the lone run on two hits and struck out three in three innings.
Dallas Baptist (16-2) quickly scored two runs on two hits and three walks off reliever Kyle Laberge (1-2) to give the Patriots a 3-2 lead after four innings.
The Mavericks (10-8) stayed withing striking distance and trailed 5-3 at the start of the seventh but Dallas Baptist scored three runs on three hits, including a Trooper Reynolds two-run home run to put the game away.
Will Olson and RJ Williams led the way for UTA offensively with two hits apiece.
