TCU men’s recap: Frogs upset Texas Longhorns
Why the Horned Frogs won: Chris Washburn made a long jumper with 1:12 left and TCU survived four missed free throws after that to beat Texas 58-57 Saturday night. Texas had a final possession to win, but Isaiah Taylor missed a shot and Connor Lammert couldn’t convert a follow-up shot after his 11th rebound.
Notable: It’s the Horned Frogs’ first victory in the series since 1995.
Key players: Brandon Parrish led TCU with 15 points on five 3-pointers, and Washburn scored 14. Javan Felix had 16 points for Texas, and Taylor 13.
Records: TCU 9-6, 1-2 Big 12, Texas 9-6, 1-2
