San Antonio thumps Vaqueros
Fort Worth allowed three first-half goals and couldn’t find a way back before losing to Corinthians FC of San Antonio 5-0 Monday at LaGrave Field, officially eliminating the Vaqueros from playoff contention.
The Vaqueros were playing their second game in as many days and were without defenseman Zach Adler, who was serving a suspension for a red card in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Dallas City FC.
“Obviously, it was a poor performance,” Vaqueros coach Mark Snell said. “But from a broader perspective, they fought like crazy on Sunday night. They were not recovered. We had several injuries, players missing for different reasons, and it just turned out to be a chaotic performance. But I can’t fault the effort.”
