Cats clobber Brownsville
Trent Montgomery (3-3) pitched seven strong innings, and Ryan Lashley knocked in five runs as the Fort Worth Cats mauled the Brownsville Charros 12-1 at LaGrave Field.
Fort Worth (15-16) blew open a 1-1 game with a six-run fifth inning. The Cats scored four more in the eighth. Brownsville’s Tyler Cooper (0-1) allowed six runs on six hits in a third of an inning.
