Syracuse, Florida given best odds to win NCAA tourney in Arlington
After the latest round of signature wins and stunning upsets by teams headed to the 2014 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, top-ranked Syracuse and No. 2 Florida have been installed today as co-favorites to cut down the nets in Arlington by oddsmakers at Bovada Sports Book (www.Bovada.lv).
Both the Orange (25-0) and the Gators (23-2), owners of a 17-game winning streak, have been given 6-1 odds to claim the title after the final game at the Final Four, April 5-7 at AT&T Stadium.
Rounding out the top five favorites, with odds, are Kansas (15/2), Michigan State (17/2) and the Duke-Arizona combo, both at 9/1. No. 3 Wichita State, the team with the nation’s best record (27-0), has been assigned 14/1 odds.
Among teams from the Lone Star State, No. 19 Texas (50/1) and unranked SMU (100/1) are considered the best bets for a home-state title celebration.
