Texas Motor Speedway removing backstretch seating

Texas Motor Speedway is closing its backstretch seating as it adds the world’s largest video board to the area in 2014. The track also announced on Monday that select seats will be $30 for next season’s Sprint Cup races, the Texas 500 on April 6 and the AAA Texas 500 on Nov. 2. The ticket prices are the lowest ever for a Sprint Cup race at TMS.

With the removal of the 9,955 backstretch seats, the track’s grandstand seating capacity will be 112,552.
