Indiana Fever Make Historic Announcement on Monday
The Indiana Fever have produced several memorable performances during the 2026 WNBA season, but Sunday's dominant victory over the Las Vegas Aces earned a place in franchise history. Led by another outstanding performance from Kelsey Mitchell, strong play inside from Aliyah Boston and a lights-out shooting display from Sophie Cunningham, Indiana overwhelmed one of the league's top teams in a statement road win.
Caitlin Clark also added another historic milestone despite playing under a minutes restriction as she continues to work her way back from a lingering back injury. Less than 24 hours after the Fever's impressive performance in Las Vegas, the organization made a historic announcement highlighting just how significant the victory truly was.

Fever Celebrate Historic Win Over Las Vegas
The Fever reflected on Sunday's performance in a post shared Monday on X.
The team wrote: "34-point win in Las Vegas was the second largest in franchise history. .

Indiana improved to 14-9 with the victory, closing its four-game road trip with a 3-1 record. The Fever never trailed and pulled away late, outscoring Las Vegas 43-9 over the final 13-plus minutes after the Aces had trimmed the deficit to just four points midway through the third quarter.
Multiple Fever Players Reached Historic Milestones
The historic team victory also featured several individual milestones. Kelsey Mitchell scored a game-high 27 points for her sixth consecutive game with at least 25 points. She also appeared in her 300th regular-season game, becoming just the second player in franchise history to reach that milestone, joining Tamika Catchings.
Mitchell also set a new franchise record with her 38th consecutive double-digit scoring game, breaking Catchings' previous mark of 37 that had stood for more than two decades.
Caitlin Clark continued rewriting the record books despite playing only 24 minutes because of her back injury.
Her sixth assist of the night made her the fastest player in WNBA history to record 600 career assists, accomplishing the feat in just 72 games. The previous record of 81 games was held by Katie Smith.
Aliyah Boston finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds for the 48th double-double of her career, while Sophie Cunningham tied her career high with six made three-pointers and scored 20 points off the bench.
Fever Continue Building Momentum
Indiana also set another franchise record by recording its seventh 100-point game of the season, the most in a single season in team history.
The Fever's 109 points were tied for the fifth-highest scoring total in franchise history and established a new franchise record for points scored against the Las Vegas Aces since the franchise relocated to Nevada.
The victory was especially impressive considering the opponent. Las Vegas entered Sunday's matchup with a 17-6 record after defeating the Phoenix Mercury by 48 points just one day earlier.
Instead, it was Indiana that delivered the statement performance. With Mitchell playing some of the best basketball of her career, Clark continuing to make league history, Boston dominating in the paint and Cunningham providing a huge spark off the bench, the Fever appear to be hitting their stride as they prepare to host the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday.
