Drake Maye, Jalen Hurts Fans Bothered By ESPN's 2026 QB Rankings
ESPN released its annual ranking of the top quarterbacks in the National Football League heading into 2026 on Monday.
The rankings, which are based on votes from NFL executives, coaches, scouts, etc., rank every starting quarterback in the league. Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills comes in at No. 1 overall this year, supplanting Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, who comes in at No. 2 overall.
It's a tough task for voters.
"[Ranking Nos.] 10-20 is getting harder to decide on -- that means we're getting to a good place with QBs," an NFL head coach said to ESPN.

Drake Maye, Jalen Hurts fans are frustrated by the rankings
Maye, fresh off a Super Bowl appearance, comes in at No. 8 overall. Hurts, who has won a Super Bowl, comes in outside of the Top 10.
Their fans are frustrated.
"The issue isn't Maye the real issue is who they keep putting at the top. Based simply on recent production as a QB Mahomes, Jackson and Burrow have no business being on anyone's top 10 list let alone all 3 being top 4. The machine is going to prop them up again knowing good and damn well their best is behind them," one fan wrote.
"Herbert is not better than Maye under any circumstances whatsoever. Neither is Stat Padford," one fan added.
"So, what's new? They always take shots at JHurts since he's been in the league! But, that hasn't stopped Jalen Hurts from reaching the Super Bowl! Jalen's recored speaks for itself! Jalen has absolutely nothing to prove! He's wearing his Super Bowl ring, and he's stinking rich!" one fan added.
"He had a bad year he'll be back," another fan said of Hurts.
