RockHounds sending 2 to All-Star Futures Game

Two Midland RockHounds players will be a part of Major League Baseball's all-star festivities in Philadelphia this year.

Shortstop Leo De Vries and left-handed pitcher Jamie Arnold will represent the Athletics organization on the American League roster during the 2026 All-Star Futures Game, 11 a.m. July 12 at Citizens Bank Park.

The all-star game is a showcase of baseball's top prospects from all 30 teams, and will be televised on NBC.

De Vries, who is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline, entered Wednesday with a .283 average with nine home runs, 31 RBI, 45 runs scored and 28 steals with the RockHounds. De Vries, 19, is the second youngest player in the Texas League this season according to Baseball Reference.

Arnold has gone 3-5 with a 4.24 earned run average and has 73 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched with Midland this season.

Arnold, the no. 11 overall pick of the 2025 amateur draft out of Florida State, is ranked as Athletics' No. 2 prospect and the No. 26 overall prospect in baseball.
