Did Christian Pulisic Get Re-Injured Against Bosnia and Herzegovina?

The USMNT has advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup after beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0.

The team reached the next round thanks to goals from Folarin Balogun and Malik Tillman. Christian Pulisic returned to the starting XI for Team USA after not starting in the group stage matches against Australia and Turkey.

Pulisic missed the match against Australia due to a calf injury, and he returned to action against Turkey, coming off the bench.

Today, Pulsiic started the match, but he was taken off in the 87th minute and was replaced by Ricardo Pepi. The change concerned some USMNT fans, with some believing that he reinjured himself.

Is Christian Pulisic Injured Again?

Christian Pulisic is reportedly not injured and is expected to be ready for the Round of 16 match against Belgium on Monday. Pulisic was likely taken off to avoid any injury.

After the USMNT's 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, the USMNT star was asked about the team's performance, and he never hinted at an injury or talked about his fitness.

Pulisic said, "We had to dig deep for that one. We put on such a good performance, but I didn't think we deserved the red card, although I didn't see it. We are really proud with the performance."

When asked about going down to 10 men following Balogun receiving a red card, Pulisic said, "It takes a lot. The guys had to dig deep. It didn't go as planned due to the red card, but that shows how good we are. We were able to do it."
