These NFL Stars Could Be Traded Next

Myles Garrett and A.J. Brown are already on the move, two season-altering trades on June 1, the first off-season day teams can make such blockbuster moves without fear of crushing its salary cap flexibility.

Garrett and Brown could be the headliners in trades this summer, but they aren't likely to be the only big names heading elsewhere before Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.

Here are a few standouts that are on the block, and a prediction on where they end up if shipped.

Keon Coleman, WR, Buffalo Bills

Keon Coleman took a step back for the Bills in his second season, managing only 38 receptions for 404 yards. It now seems clear he's not part of the long-term vision. Buffalo acquired D.J. Moore from the Bears this offseason, and Moore, Josh Palmer and Khalil Shakir seem to have a grasp of the Top 3 WRs on the roster.

Coleman is only 22 years of age, and his 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame offers a big target for teams in need. Bills GM Brandon Beane has publicly stated the team is not interested in moving Coleman, and his trade value is considered in the 4th- or 5th-round pick range.

Who Makes The Trade? The Washington Commanders added Antonio Williams in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but with Treylon Burks, who had 130 receiving yards last year, as the No. 2 behind Terry McLaurin, there is a need.

The Commanders have the third-most cap space right now, behind only the 49ers and Titans. Burks and McLaurin have dealt with injuries, another reason for the Commanders to find another target for budding star QB Jayden Daniels.

Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears

Cole Kmet is entering a contract year and the Bears have shown willingness to move pieces (they already traded D.J. Moore). Trading him post-June 1 would provide cap relief with manageable dead money, and several teams need tight end upgrades. He's a solid, reliable veteran who could fit contending offenses.

Kmet is also the No. 2 tight end on the Bears' depth chart, behind 2025 first-round pick Colston Loveland. Chicago then used a third-round pick on TE Sam Roush, rendering Kmet expendable if they're not going to have the cash to pay him next off-season.

Who Makes The Trade? The Miami Dolphins sold off a lot of high-priced pieces, leaving new starting QB Malik Willis without any targets to lean on. Journeyman Greg Dulcich is the No. 1 on the TE depth chart, and cheap additions Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell, who had a combined 24 receptions in 2025 on different teams, are the top receivers.

Anthony Richardson, QB, Indianapolis Colts

The Anthony Richardson era in Indy didn't last long. After three seasons with the Colts, two of a starter with a combined 15 starts, Indy has moved on to Daniel Jones. Richardson has 11 TDs and 13 INTs, so we can't blame the Colts for bailing for Jones, who resurrected the Colts hopes in 2025.

More From Lindy's Sports:

A move could benefit both sides. Indy would gain asset of some kind, while a new team could bet on the athleticism that made Richardson the No. 4 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Who Makes The Trade? It's unlikely Richardson gets a shot to be a starring QB in 2026, but teams in need of a backup offers a change of scenery. The Green Bay Packers were considered potential trade partners, given their success with Malik Willis. But they've added Tyrod Taylor for the QB2 role. So we'll travel down the interstate to Chicago. The Bears have Caleb Williams, with Tyson Bagent as the No. 2. There is a lot more high-upside with Richardson.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, Edge, New York Giants

Kayvon Thibodeaux is a talented pass rusher whose contract situation and the Giants' rebuild make him a potential trade candidate. Multiple analysts have simulated deals for him, and teams needing edge help could pounce. His youth keeps his trade value solid.

Last season, he managed only 10 games due to injury, registering a career-low 2.5 sacks. Still, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft could get the Giants a solid return.

Who Makes The Trade? The New England Patriots were a surprise Super Bowl team last year, led by second-year QB Drake Maye. The team added A.J. Brown already, but the defense struggled to get to QBs. Adding Thibodeaux presents a low-risk, high-reward that could really pay off.

Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Las Vegas Raiders

Maxx Crosby is a star defender on a team in flux. If the Raiders continue a teardown or culture shift, trading him could net a huge haul of draft picks while freeing significant cap space. Contenders would love his production and leadership.

He was already traded once, but a move to the Baltimore Ravens was nixed. It may have made for a complicated relationship with the Raiders. Few can debate his on-field impact – 34.5 sacks in 44 games the last three seasons.

Who Makes The Trade? Only a few teams could afford his $38.5 million cap hit without trading back key assets. But the San Francisco 49ers could. The Niners last year went 12-5 despite finishing dead-last in the NFL in sacks. Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams are manning the edges now, but both are returning from long injuries. San Fran could add Crosby and have a treacherous trio of fresh rushers.
