Will Caitlin Clark play in the Indiana Fever’s game against the Dallas Wings?
Caitlin Clark missed the Indiana Fever’s last game, an 85-75 loss against the Los Angeles Sparks, due to a groin injury. Will Clark be available in the Fever’s game against the Dallas Wings on Friday at the American Airlines Center?
Clark will be unavailable for tonight’s game after being ruled out due to a groin injury.
The game was highly anticipated and would have included a match-up of the last three No. 1 overall picks in the WNBA if Clark had played.
Despite not playing, Clark came out to rousing applause pregame and spent time signing autographs for fans.
This is the second time this season Clark has missed multiple games in a row due to injury, following a left quad injury that previously cost her five games.
Clark returned from the injury on June 14th with a 32-point outburst in a 102-88 victory over the New York Liberty.
Fever head coach Stephanie White previously called the injury day to day, saying Clark’s return would depend on her response to treatment.
The Fever’s next game, and Clark’s next chance to play, will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, against the Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
