The Dallas Wings win Draft Lottery, get No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft
The Dallas Wings won the draft lottery and the right to the No. 1 selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft. UConn Superstar Paige Bueckers is considered the favorite for that selection.
Who had the best odds to win the draft lottery?
The Los Angeles Sparks had the best odds (44.2%) followed by the Dallas Wings (22.75), Chicago Sky (22.7%) and the Washington Mystics (10.4%).
Bueckers is one of the top players in college basketball and among the favorites to win the Naismith Player of the Year award, given annually to the best men’s and women’s collegiate basketball players. She won the award as a freshman in 2021 while leading UConn to the National Championship where they fell 65-49 to South Carolina.
Bueckers struggled with several injuries over two seasons including a torn meniscus, torn ACL and a tibial plateau fracture.
This season Bueckers is averaging 21.3 points, 4.0 assists and 3.7 rebounds on 65% for the Huskies who have a 3-0 record and our ranked No. 2 AP Women’s College Basketball Poll.
