Jake Paul says he plans to pummel Mike Tyson, then set his sights on the NFL

While Jake Paul is preparing for his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson, the popular influencer isn’t shy about predicting the outcome of the matchup and also his future in other sports.

“You’re gonna see Mike Tyson get knocked out in just a couple of weeks, and that’s going to be a sight to behold,” said Paul.

The 27-year old had many brash comments he made during a recent interview with the Star-Telegram.

Paul was also confident in his future boxing achievements, claiming he would win a major boxing championship during his career.

“The goal is to become world champion and win one of the four major belts, and that’ll happen in less than 24 months,” said Paul.

“The cruiserweight division isn’t as technical as I am, and I have more power than all of those guys there at the top, and I’m only getting better as each day goes on,” he said. “And, I have, you know, the equalizer, which is power and the God-given talent and more athleticism than every boxer in the sport.”

Paul also has plans to conquer the MMA and the NFL.

“After becoming boxing world champion, I’m going to become MMA world champion, and then after that, I’m going to go to the NFL. You know, I think there’s a lot of mediocrity in the NFL, a lot of dropped passes. These guys don’t have ends, even though that’s what they get paid to do, and a lot of them are just boring. So I’m gonna bring in marketing and business and catch balls.”

Paul knows some boxing diehards weren’t initially fans of his entry into the sport but has seen that animosity lessen over time.

“Of course, there’s going to be critics. When you’re doing something great, the higher you climb, the windier it gets, and I’m lucky to have critics and lucky to have people doubt me, because all that matters is people talking about you,” said Paul, “people are starting to see how much I respect the sport, how much I’ve done for the sport.”

Paul is excited about the matchup and is ready to showcase his skills to boxing fans who haven’t yet seen him fight.

“I truly believe, regardless of what anyone says, is, I’m one of the most entertaining fighters in the sport, every single opponent of mine goes down to the canvas. That’s a statistical fact, so I put people down, and that’s what people love to see in boxing,” said Paul.

Paul and Tyson will fight at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 at AT&T Stadium and tickets can still be purchased for $37 on SeatGeek.
