Here’s everything you need to know about the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup
A massive Esports competition is scheduled in Arlington from May 6-7 at the Esports Stadium in Arlington.
Tickets can be bought through the Collegiate Sports Management Group’s website.
The Texas Esports Championship and the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup competition are being produced by Vanta, Esposure, and Collegiate Sports Management Group.
All three organizations are focused on fostering the next generation of Esports athletes whether at the collegiate or youth level.
As a part of the effort, this year 600 of the top Esports players from middle and high school together to compete in front of scouts in a college recruitment showcase.
The Esports players will also have the opportunity to speak with the approximately 50 colleges and universities that will be present at the event. The universities will also host panel discussions where they will discuss the life of a collegiate Esports athlete and discuss scholarship opportunities.
The two-day event features the state championship competition which will feature the top young Esports athletes in the state competing in nine games including Rocket League, Valorant, Super Smash Bros and Apex Legends.
There is also the Commissioners Cup which will include 400 of the nation’s top collegiate gamers competing for titles in Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
