Panther City Lacrosse drops first game of season

Colorado handed Panther City a 12-9 defeat at Dickies Arena on Saturday.

It’s the first loss of the season for Panther City (2-1), while the Mammoth (1-1) won their first game of the season.

Panther City’s rookies, Jonathan Donville (6 assists) and Mathieu Gautier (5 points on 1 goal, 4 assists) led the way for the club offensively.

It was Gautier’s NLL/Panther City debut after being selected with the ninth overall selection in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft. Will Malcom also chipped in recording a hat trick and adding two assists to finish with five points. Matthew Hossack led the team out of the back door as he recorded 10 loose balls and two caused turnovers. As a team, Panther City forced 10 turnovers.
