It’s a common question sports fans ask all the time: How would today’s best athletes fare against the legends of our past?

Michael Jordan or Wilt Chamberlain? Mike Trout or Mickey Mantle? Martina Navratilova or Serena Williams?

Star-Telegram columnist Mac Engel asked that question directly to Martina Navratilova recently. How does she think she’d fare against Serena Williams and other contemporary tennis stars?

Navratilova, who lived in Fort Worth during her career, gave an interesting answer. Listen to her answer here.

Navratilova will return to the area next week when the WTA Finals are held at Dickies Arena; the event will run from Oct. 31 through Nov. 7.

It will bring the top singles and doubles women’s players in the world to Fort Worth, as well Martina back “home.”
