Odell Beckham Jr. has been criticized for several of his past antics.

But former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens came to the aid of the New York Giants star wide receiver in an interview with TMZ Sports.

“Odell can’t perform because the quarterback is not performing. So, they should basically replace the quarterback,” Owens told the outlet.

Manning previously led his team to several wins in the Super Bowl, but Owens said that doesn’t make him a legend. He also said that having a poor offensive line is not a good excuse for the quarterback’s subpar play.

Some fans and media members have said the Giants should bench Manning.

However, that might be difficult to do now.

On Sunday the team’s backup quarterback, Kyle Lauletta, was arrested for “various motor vehicle and related disorderly persons offenses” pertaining to a traffic violation in Weehawken, New Jersey.
