Arlington voters will decide Nov. 8 whether their city will devote $500 million in sales tax, hotel tax and car rental tax revenue to help build a new retractable-roof, climate-controlled ballpark for the Texas Rangers.

Proponents say the Rangers will move to another city if Arlington doesn’t help pay for a new ballpark. Opponents say the current Globe Life Park is still a good home for the team, that the city’s money should be devoted elsewhere and that the team’s owners should pay for their own ballpark.
