Trump and Gold Star families
Trump and Gold Star families
What Trump says is not dumb — it is just how he says it, sometimes.
Why did the Democratic Convention invite a man to speak whose son was killed in a war that Hillary Clinton approved?
His son was an American — yes, a Muslim, but an American soldier. He died as a soldier, not a Muslim. Realize: He was in a Muslim country and killed by a Muslim.
It is not Trump’s fault that this man’s son was killed.
The purpose was to promote the idea that Muslims should be allowed in America because his son was killed.
That is exactly the point Trump is making by saying we need to know who is coming here.
Would the speaker want to admit just anyone, even the Muslim who shot and killed his son?

This letter is in response to the recent letters, “Trump and Sacrifice.”
After reading some of these letters I only wish the writers had devoted more ink to expressing their condolences to all Gold Star Mothers.
Instead, most of their words were devoted to criticizing Republican nominee Trump and Reps. Kay Granger and Kenny Marchant.
I have always been of the school of when one resorts to personal attacks, they lose their audience.
To all Republican anti-Trump voters, I suggest you take a real good look at the alternative in this important election. Staying home is not an alternative.
As a loyal Republican, I will support the Republican nominee on Nov. 8.
