Party conventions
Party conventions
The conventions are over. Both expressed great concern about the other party, and most voters “fear” the other’s candidate. The difference is the basis for the fear.
Democrats fear Donald Trump because of his lack of foreign experience and the effect they think his presidency would have on their personal lives and benefits.
Fewer government programs, belt-tightening to reduce the federal debt, less reliance on “big brother,” less emphasis on global warming, less chance of amending that “outdated” Constitution; more law and order, more restrictive borders, more emphasizing God as a solution to problems and more boasting and exaggerations.
Republicans fear Hillary Clinton because of her actual foreign experience and for her effect on our democracy and future generations.
Their concerns about Clinton focus on more government intervention, excessive spending on government programs, leaving huge debt burdens on our descendants, computer model solutions for climate change, disregarding existing laws and the Constitution, less law and order, open borders, disregard of religion and Clinton’s lying and cheating.
Which do you fear more?

Trump and Hillary are the nominees. That’s terrifying.
Are we so desperate that we have two of the most reviled people in the world running for president?
There are principles that should govern this wonderfully diverse country. But, unfortunately, those principles are long gone. Now we have anger, greed, power lust, manipulation and deception.
Trump is a fraud. Clinton deserves prison.
We’ve watched as our greatest qualities are stripped from us: unity, love of fellow citizens, communication, faith and family.
We must stand up and be the answer. Let’s bring the foundational principles back into the limelight. Let’s put down the anger, malice and fear. Get America talking again.
