All Points: Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter is a national movement that campaigns against racial violence toward black people.

It began after the 2012 shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., and grew sharply following the 2014 deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in New York City.

All Lives Matter quickly followed, with its advocates saying all racist violence should be resisted and limiting the discussion to blacks is wrong.
